"INTRO TO AI" WEBINARS

A ~50 minute beginner AI/LLM crash course for professional audiences; plain English, live demos, and reusable prompt patterns. Koffman → ASCM rotation with strong turnout, repeat invites, and 430+ pre‑registrations for the series recording. I authored and delivered all content.

Presented for:

SNAPSHOT

Audience: Professionals with little/no AI experience (ASCM supply chain chapters; entrepreneurship community)

  • Scale: Koffman Incubator webinar → invited to ASCM rotation; live chapter session (~30–40 attendees); ASCM series pre‑record 430+ registrants (pre‑release); more sessions scheduled (Sept & Nov)

  • Length: Live 45–50 min + 10 min Q&A; pre‑recorded ~35–40 min

  • Format: Zoom + Google Slides; live demos in ChatGPT

ROLE & TOOLS

I created all content and delivered the sessions; hosts handled promo/registration. Slides created in Google Slides, graphics in Canva.

WHAT IT IS

Presentation in webinar-format that serves as a plain‑language orientation to inform what AI/LLMs are and why they matter now.

  • Hands‑on strategy: Prompting techniques, reusable prompts & formats

  • Real examples: Case studies showing workflow wins in SC/ops

  • Takeaways: Starter prompts / further learning links / glossary

Scope note: intentionally non‑technical and not an ethics deep‑dive. This is intended to be a practical beginner crash course.

WHY IT MATTERS

Attendees leave with confidence and the willingness to try new approaches with AI. They're able to identify good AI use‑cases, use structured prompts, and adapt examples to their own workflows.

Learners will be able to:

  1. Identify high‑leverage AI opportunities in their workflow and prioritize quick pilots.

  2. Compose & iterate prompts using proven patterns to get reliable, actionable outputs from LLMs.

  3. Apply simple guardrails to evaluate outputs for suitability and adapt examples to their professional domain.

INCLUDES:

  • Modular slide deck built for beginner audiences (jargon‑free, relatable)

  • Live “audience request” demos in ChatGPT to model real problem‑solving

  • Supply‑chain‑specific variant for ASCM; entrepreneurship variant for Koffman Incubator

  • Pre‑recorded edit tightened to 35–40 minutes with scenario‑based examples

  • Resource bundle: glossary, prompt templates, further‑reading links

OUTCOMES

Early signals:

  • Larger‑than‑usual turnout reported by organizers; repeat invites to additional chapters

  • Brandywine chapter requested future sessions

  • ASCM recording at 430+ pre‑registrations (interest before release)

CONSTRAINTS → CHOICES

  • Mixed literacy: no ML theory; concrete before/after workflows + prompts

  • 1‑hour slot: kept core ideas + demos; moved extras to resource bundle

  • Asynchronous version: re‑framed examples for supply chain and trimmed interactivity

  • Iteration: Kept the content fresh between sessions as tools evolved; updated slides/examples to reflect the latest model releases and capabilities ahead of recordings.
